La settimana scorsa ci siamo recati a Pinkham Notch, nelle White Mountains, da dove parte uno dei vari sentieri che giungono sulla vetta del monte Washington. Noi non avevamo intenzione di arrivare fin su, ci siaamo "accontentati" di arrivare alla base di Tuckerman's Ravine.

Per prima cosa, abbiamo incontrato le cascate, Crystal Cascades.
First we met Crystal Cascades.
Il sentiero era piuttosto rocccioso e caldo(perche' siamo partiti tardi).
The trail was rather rocky and hot (we started kind of late).
Al termine del sentiero, c'e un rifugio, mantenuto dall'Appalachian Mountain Club.
At the end of the trail there is a shelter , maintained by the Appalachian Mountain Club.
Noi non eravamo proprio soddisfatti, allora abbiamo deciso di andare un po' piu' su, verso la cima della Ravine.
We weren't that happy with our result, so we decided to go up a bit, towards the floor of the Ravine.

Pian pianino, avanziamo.....nell'Alpine Garden, la zona alpina....

Il paesaggio e' splendido, l'aria piu' tersa.
The view is breathtaking, the air much cleaner.
A circa due terzi di cammino , abbiamo deciso di fermarci, ma vogliamo andare piu' su l'anno prossimo.
Two thirds of the way up we decided to stop, but we want to go further up next year.
Ritornati piu' in basso, abbiamo pranzato e visitato il lago.
Back down at the shelter, we had lunch and visited the lake.
Whoops, ci siamo dimenticati di farci fare una foto in vetta, la facciamo al ritorno, stanchi ma felici....
Whoops, we forgot to take a photo, we did it back at the start, tired but happy.....

e camminate camminate... accidenti come diventate esperti!noi invece giostra salta salta altalena...una noia:) + mercato bagni bagni con tubo....da oggi pero' si rompe e probabile passiamo per casa:)
Esperti non so ,ma con James ci proviamo, non e' che si accontenti facilmente....
